About Us
We understand that extraordinary legal representation begins with talented, committed attorneys. Our attorneys apply decades of focused experience and expertise in the representation of firm clients. In doing so, our attorneys have established national reputations in the areas of regulatory compliance, corporate transactions and health law. Our philosophy is simple — Your success is our success. Accordingly, we aggressively work to safeguard your financial interests, and in some cases your personal liberty. We strive to provide quality, innovative representation in as cost-effective manner as possible. Martindale-Hubbell has rated our firm as “AV.” This honor is “limited to only the most distinguished law practices; those that have achieved the AV rating. The ‘A’ signifies the highest level of legal ability, while the ‘V’ denotes ‘very high’ adherence to professional standards of conduct, ethics, reliability, and diligence.”
Over the years, attorneys with our firm have been recognized for their work in a variety of areas, including corporate governance, business transactions, Medicare, Medicaid and private overpayment audits and appeals and civil and criminal litigation. Our attorneys are often asked to speak at national conferences on a wide variety of topics.
Robert W. Liles, a Managing Partner at the firm, has presented at over 80 regional and national health care conferences. He has been named outside General Counsel to a respected national third-party billing organization.
David P. Parker served as General Counsel for an NYSE-traded corporation. Mr. Parker represents companies in complex corporate transactions (such as the buying and selling of an enterprise).
Leonard Schneider, the Supervising Attorney of our Houston Office, is a former Galveston County prosecutor. He represents cities and towns across Texas, serving as City Attorney. He also represents health care providers around the country in litigation.
Andy Lynch, a Partner in the Washington, DC office, works on a wide variety of highly complex corporate transactions.

Likewise, Paul Weidenfeld, a DC Partner, has represented health care organizations and providers involved with both civil and criminal matters, trying over 75 separate cases throughout his tenure as a litigator.
The Supervising Attorney of our Baton Rouge office, Les Johnson, also handles health care matters and Medicare appeals, both overpayment and PRRB. The majority of Les’s practice is devoted to health care regulatory compliance, fraud & abuse, and Medicare appeals.
