Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapy

Physical therapy (PT), speech therapy (ST), and occupational therapy (OT) represent an important element of care for the elderly. PT ST OT programs can restore much of the functional abilities a patient may have lost from a stroke, fall, surgery or other incident, and hopefully return the patient back to their baseline level of functioning. However, the numerous treatment modalities for these services can make treatment plans very complex and potentially difficult to follow. Moreover, documentation of services performed may also be difficult depending on how a specific facility runs its operations. These are the areas where Medicare contractors focus, using unwieldy treatment plan requirements to deny otherwise properly payable claims.

Liles Parker can help PT, ST or OT providers appeal claim denials throughout the Medicare appeals process.
