Practice Concentration and Experience:
Michael Troy, counsel to Liles Parker, handles corporate affairs and compliance law issues. Additionally, Mr. Troy assists large and small businesses with a wide variety of legal issues that arise in the course of operating a business and planning for its future. His work includes all facets of counseling, including advising established businesses on strategic planning and raising capital. His experience and familiarity with business law and with businesses in all stages of growth has enabled him to best serve his client’ short- and long-term objectives. For clients that do not have in-house legal resources, Mr. Troy acts as outside general counsel, performing all the legal functions necessary to operate a business. Mr. Troy is an alumnus of the SEC an earned his LL.M. at Georgetown in Securities and Financial Regulation.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Troy clerked for Judge John H. Bayly, Jr. in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Judge Bayly was hearing family and criminal matters at the time. Because of the years he spent working in D.C. Superior Court, Mr. Troy also maintains a robust family law practice. He aggressively represents his clients and seeks to resolve matters in the most sensible and cost-effective manner.
