Practice Concentration and Experience: Ms. Reed works out of our San Antonio office. Serving as "Counsel" of the firm, she has been instrumental in representing clients involved in False Claims Act cases. Shortly after graduating from law school, Ms. Reed gained invaluable experience working on insurance litigation cases. Coupled with her experience as a former prosecutor, she has proven instrumental in the expansion of Liles Parker’s qui tam practice. In addition to representing whistleblowers, Ms. Reed continues to work on a wide variety of other cases, focusing on health law, criminal defense and complex business litigation.
With regard to health law, Ms. Reed works with other Firm attorneys in the representation of physicians and other health care providers in sham peer review cases, credentialing disputes and in licensure disciplinary matters. Since joining Liles Parker, Ms. Reed has significantly expanded the scope of Liles Parker’s presence in South Texas.
Consistent with her background as a former Bexar County prosecutor, Ms. Reed continues to handle a wide variety of criminal defense matters throughout Texas. Her expertise is also relied upon by other members of the Firm when criminal issues arise in other cases being handled around the country.
Ms. Reed's experience as a litigator is quite impressive. She has tried well over 200 trials as First Chair. Her reputation as a litigator is well known by both prosecutors and the judiciary. This experience is especially helpful when faced with complex business litigation cases.
As Counsel for Liles Parker, Ms. Reed will continue to represent parties in qui tam, health care and complex business cases. Ms. Reed is also expected to take a lead role in many of the Firm’s cases in other parts of Texas.
