Robert W. Liles(May 8, 2013): Robert W. Liles, Managing Partner at Liles Parker, has been asked by Practice Management Institute (PMI) to speak at the organization’s “National Conference for Medical Office Professionals.”  This conference is being held in New Orleans from May 29 – May 31, 2013.  Working with D.K. Everitt, Mr. Liles will be covering the presentation “Conducting a Gap Analysis: Turning the Lights On in Your Practice.”  As Mr. Liles and Mr. Everitt will describe, the implementation of an effective Compliance Plan and program that covers federal and state laws is critical in this time of increased audit scrutiny. Perhaps the single most important (yet often omitted) task when setting up an effective Compliance Plan is to first conduct a “GAP analysis” – a baseline assessment of your practice’s coding, billing, operations, and business practices. Conducting a gap analysis is like turning the lights on to see where you are. Is your practice on track? Are there risk areas that need improvement? Do you have any overpayments that need to be returned? Liles Parker attorneys have assisted a wide range of health care providers in conducting a gap analysis and in formulating an effective Compliance Plan which addresses the specific risks faced by a practice.  A comprehensive gap analysis of your health care practice can greatly assist you in your efforts to remain compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.  Join Liles Parker attorney Robert W. Liles in New Orleans and learn additional ways to keep your practice compliant with Medicare’s myriad rules and regulations.

Hope to see you in New Orleans!
