Sophia Pintar

Sophia Pintar will be going into her second year of law school at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and has lived in Washington, DC for nearly 8 years. Sophia was born and raised in San Diego, California, where she grew up playing soccer and surfing with her family. Sophia graduated from American University in 2020 with a B.A. in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics & Government (Interdisciplinary). She then worked at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee as their Direct Marketing Coordinator until attending Maryland Law.

Sophia became interested in Health Care Law after speaking with her Legal Writing professor who had worked in health care law before teaching, and took her Health Care Law class in the spring semester. When Sophia is not at school or in the office, she is most likely taking a workout class at Orangetheory or finding a new restaurant in the area to try. She is also avid skier and scuba diver.
