Practice Concentration and Experience:

Adam Bird concentrates his practice in the areas of health care regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, reimbursement, and enrollment. Adam has worked with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, DME suppliers, hospices, community mental health centers, therapists, and home health agencies across the country. He assists providers with the creation and implementation of effective compliance plans and defends providers in investigations and audits initiated by government and private insurance payors. Adam represents providers across the country before Federal courts, government agencies, and administrative tribunals.

Adam is particularly knowledgeable regarding the unique regulatory challenges faced by home health agencies, especially as they relate to issues of coverage, documentation, and compliance. Adam works with dozens of agencies around the country, ranging from rural agencies with small censuses to one of the largest home health providers in the country. He has successfully represented agencies in various civil and administrative proceedings, including those involving payment suspensions, enrollment revocations, False Claims Act allegations, and multi-million dollar overpayment assessments.
